Gabeau also is the site of the medical clinic run by the Methodist Church with the help of volunteers mission groups and donations.

The midwife program is well run and very active. Pharmaceutical kits are prepared for the midwives.

There are approximately 20 midwives who receive monthly training and support at the Gabeau clinic. Some walk as much as 12 hours to the clinic for supplies to take back to their home areas.

The modern dental equipment was donated by US Rotarians. It was used routinely through 2007 when the dentist died. Dental mission trips are sorely needed to fill the gap until another dentist is found.
